Nepal’s earliest educational institution Tribhuvan University ( TU ) has bagged an additional reputation!
In its recent global university rankings, the Times Higher Education of London placed TU the best universities in the Asian region.
TU stood at the 251st rank out of 300 best universities in Asia University Ranking 2019, whilst that was 801th out of 1000 top global universities according to the World University Ranking 2019.
For the 60 constituent campuses, 1, 084 affiliated colleges, 2, 079 UG and 2, 000 PG courses across its main campus and affiliated institutions in Nepal, the university emerged as the ‘11th biggest university for enrolment’ in the world.
TU is a government-funded institute with many private institutions working as its affiliates across the nation.
The varsity had also made it to the comparable rankings among the top 800-1000 universities of the globe, in September 2018, in different types including teaching, study, citation influence, international outlook, and commercial income.
In all the mentioned types, TU ranked 30 percent in the first three groups and 5 .7 percent in worldwide outlook and 2 .5 in industrial outcome criteria.
