Three persons have died after in a bus accident that plunged into Trishuli River in Benighat Rorang Rural Municipality-3 of Dhading district.
According to the Gajuri-based Area Police Office, the bus (Na 6 Kha 7469) which was heading towards Kathmandu from Sarlahi district, fell into the river at Salanghat along the Prithivi Highway.
Nepal Police, Armed Police Force of Nepal, Nepal Army and volunteers of Red Cross Society with the help of locals immediately started rescue efforts as soon as they were informed about the incident.
Police was facing problems while carrying out the rescue operation as the incident occurred at a difficult place below the road.
There were around 40 persons in the bus including the driver, as informed by the police and further added that 10 of the passengers have been rescued and rushed to various hospitals for treatment.
In the meantime, security personnel have carried on with rescue operation and are searching for those who have gone missing in the river.
