Thailand got its new Prime Minister on June 06, 2019, after the country’s Military Government Chief Prayuth Chan-Ocha was chosen for the post.

He surpassed the 375-vote mark in two houses of the parliament to allow him the much-needed victory over his sole contender, Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit.

Prayuth’s emerged a success because all of the 250 upper house members were hand-picked by the army.

Furthermore, a change in the seat distribution pattern made by the Election Commission after the March 2019 poll assisted the newly-elected PM to achieve his new place.
