NRB Demands for ‘Nepali Language’ in Regional ATM’s

In a shift assisting the common people, the Nepal Rastra Bank ( NRB ) has urged the local banking institutions to contain Nepali in local ATM’s. 

The Central Bank has set a 30 days due date for implementing the new decision. 

NRB granted a notice to the local banks and financial institutes, after issues from the general public that most of local ATM’s don’t have Nepali language option. 

It has passed on a strict standards that any financial institution failing to apply the instruction will be exposed to punishment under the Payment and Clearance Act, 2075 BS.
