Gokul Prasad Baskota the spokesperson of the government on Thursday said that the government will hold discussions with the southern neighbor India to determine existing border disputes through diplomatic channels.
During a weekly press briefing been at the Ministry of Communications and Technology to share the cabinet decisions, the minister said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has already made it clear that Kalapani is an indispensable part of Nepal.
He said that the Nepal government has already disapproved of the political map unveiled by India that has placed our Nepali territory Kalapani inside India. Now, the government will hold talks with India to resolve existing border disputes through diplomatic channels.
Speaking about controlling border disputes with India, the spokesperson said that India has invaded upon two percent Nepali territory based on the historic evidence collected by the government.
He added by saying that they have evidence that India has encroached upon two percent Nepali territory and the government will leave no stone unturned to protect its sovereign territories.
Replying to a media query, Baskota said that the Nepal government is committed to anticipating Nepali territory from being used by external or domestic terrorist groups. He stated that nobody has the right to carry out activities in Nepal by going against the laws of the land.
