Yogesh Bhattarai, Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation has stated that Nepal is free from coronavirus.
The minister stated so a day following all the 175 Nepali citizens emptied from China’s Hubei region who have been held in quarantine at Kharipati of Bhaktapur from Sunday examined negative for the coronavirus.
Minister Bhattarai emphasised the obligation to propagate the message internationally that Nepal is free from and safe for touring. He further informed that special warning with secure screening has been reported at all the entrance limits to Nepal along with the Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA). He also defined that there is no immediate plan to encourage the Chinese tourists following the declaration of ‘Nepal as coronavirus free zone.’
“However, we must be ready to take advantage by welcoming a large number of Chinese visitors to Nepal once China completely gets rid of this viral outbreak,” he said.
“Amid the present scenario when there is no arrival of Chinese tourists, we must look for various ideas to receive the tourists from other countries,” he added that the administration will quickly set twelve desks to draw the visitors from Europe, America and the Middle East.
