NCP suspends its leaders, cadres from criticizing each other in public discussions

Soon after party leaders and forces began criticizing each other in public discussions also on the social media, the Nepal Communist Party has forced a ban on them from commenting and probing over the party’s internal matters and arrangements.

A secretariat conference of the party was conducted at its headquarters in Dhumbarahi has notified of the lawsuit on leaders and cadres who break the current rule. The discussion also revealed its officers and cadres to practice the party’s internal conferences if they have to probe each other or party’s systems.

NCP leaders Surya Thapa and Ram Prasad Sapkota had involved in an intense discussion in public about a comment given by party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal. Besides, another chairman KP Oli and committee member Madhav Kumar Nepal had involved in an argument in full sense of the media. Now onward, any leader or cadre of the party or sister organizations should express their dissent if any only within the party,” stated the party’s spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha.

The first secretariat conference was carried on Monday chaired by Dahal. The conference chose to initiate Kiran Rai, Padam Rai, Devendra Parajuli and Kalpana Dhamala to the party’s central committee. With the latest enhancements, the extent of the central committee has led 442 members.

Dhamala and Parajali in the Baburam Bhattarai’s Naya Shakti Party and had lost to the NCP following Bhattarai chose to unite his party with Upendra Yadav’s Federal Socialist Forum Nepal to make Samajbadi Party Nepal. Furthermore, Padam and Kiran had lately lost to the NCP from Netra Bkiram Chand’s Communist Party of Nepal.

The conference has turned the responsibilities of various leaders and selected a few deputy chiefs to the party’s different department. Bhanubhakta Dhakal has been identified as the chief of the National Security Department and Ram Kumar Rai has been elected as its deputy chief. Besides, Ram Karki and Bishnu Rijal have been designated deputy chiefs of the party’s Foreign Affairs Department.

The foreign affairs administration is directed by former Prime Minister and senior party leader Madhav Kumar Nepal.
