India vs Pakistan: One Focus on Weather conditions, India Perspiration it Out in Manchester

After one week of little cricket, the Indian squad had a hit out at a training session in overcast conditions at the Old Trafford in Manchester on Saturday ( June 16), a day in front of their battle against Pakistan.

India last performed a match last Sunday, and after that their Thursday’s match against New Zealand was washed out by rain in Nottingham without even the toss occurring. India had only one training session via the week, on Wednesday; then too, it had been only their batsmen who got throwdowns as the bowlers did not risk injury on the wet outfield at Trent Bridge.

On the match day, the forecast is for ‘sunny intervals’ with minimum chances of precipitation around the mid-day. Rain could hamper proceedings slightly, but it’s unlikely that there may be a complete washout.

India practices until 1 pm on Saturday while Pakistan is planned to hit the nets from 2 pm to 5 pm.

India has won two of their three matches, while Pakistan goes to Sunday’s match having won only one of their four games.
