The two nations India and Nepal on Monday began a bus service joining Siliguri in West Bengal of India to the capital city of Nepal, Kathmandu.
The bus service to be managed by the Indian side, in the start, will be crossing through the Pani Tanki – Kakarbhitta border connecting the two nations and will be operated every day.
This is the tenth bus route to be operated within the two nations, and shortly an eleventh route would follow with the materialization of Gorakhpur-Kathmandu bus service.
The bus routes are directed at helping the easier flow of people and trade within the two nations, and would also support the people-to-people relations, as per the Ambassador of India to Nepal, Manjeev Singh Puri.
The bus service was combined flagged-off by Puri and Nepal’s Minister for Transport Management, Raghubir Mahaseth.
