An Air India flight overshot the primary runway of Tribhuvan International Airport in Nepal today early morning.
The Airbus A320-214, which took away from Delhi in the morning for Nepal, lost approaching the runway whilst landing. However, it was landed back securely, declared airport officers.
“Air India’s flight from Delhi on Sunday morning had over-shot whilst landing at around 8: 55 am. It went to Nijgadh and returned back after that at around 9: 45 am,” Tribhuwan International Airport General Manager Raj Kumar Chettri verified.
“Due to various operational factors, in the best interest of safety, a pilot determines to go-around. This was the kind of case,” declared Air India spokesperson Dhananjay Kumar.
