Nepal gave China a crushing defeat at the ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament in Malaysia on July 03, 2019.
Asked to bat first after losing the toss, China set a paltry target of 54 runs against Nepal, which it achieved in five overs not losing any wicket. For Nepal, Pawan Sarraf hit highest 46 runs for 21 with three sixes and six boundaries. Similarly, Rit Gautam remained undefeated on 10.
Dhakal was ably supported by Tilak Raj Bhandari, who took 3-15 from seven overs, whilst Kamal Singh Airee claimed 1-9 from five overs.
Dhakal was called the man of the match.
Nepal’s victory meant they advanced to the last four from the three-team Group A together with Singapore, who had beaten China by eight wickets in their earlier match. Nepal, who leads the standing, will face Singapore on Friday and the match will decide the group winners. Myanmar, who were drawn in Group A, withdrew from the tournament. Nepal will face Singapore in its next match on July 05, 2019.
