Nepal’s Top Economic Performer for 2018-19, Province 5

In a primary update concerning the financial functionality at the local levels, Province 5 surfaced as the province with highest development rate for FY 2018-19. 

Standing top of the set of provinces, Province 5 reported 7.37 percent growth rate for the fiscal year. 

The Central Bureau of Statistics ( CBS ) said this in its declaration in Butwal on May 20, 2019 . 

In the meantime, Gandaki Province stood second with 7.06 % economic development , followed by Province 3 ( 7.04 percent ) , Province 2 ( 6.53 percent ) , Province 1 ( 6.49 percent ) and Far Western Province ( 6.25 % ) , respectively . 

Province 5 had 6% topped the list in the last year. 

This news benefits significance in view of the government’s focus on growth of local bodies in the forthcoming year through Federal Budget 2019-20.
